Tibor/Billy Pate - Tarpon Anti-Reverse Fly Reel - RHW - Freestone Vintage Tackle

For sale here is a Billy Pate anti-reverse Tarpon fly reel, made by Tibor. An early RHW reel with black & gold anodizing (serial #549). 3 3/4" frame with a spool width of 1", the reel weighs 12.44oz. Mechanically perfect with little signs of use. One small ding to the top of the frame near the serial number. Many IGFA records were set with Tibor Billy Pate reels, and they are still making the anti-reverse reels over 45 years later. A rock-solid reel for a variety of saltwater species. Sold in a shearling lined zippered pouch.
